Description: Many communities have come up with expansions or add-ons to HMIS to improve service to consumers. As an example, the Cincinnati / Hamilton County HMIS evaluates client data, and, in relevant cases, produces a certification of homelessness. This presentation presents examples from several communities on how HMIS can be a benefit for clients and program staff including concrete examples of certifications, eligibility assessments and application protocols.
