Nominations for 2009 HMIS Outstanding Achievement Awards
We are now accepting nominations for HMIS Awards.

Outstanding Achievements in HMIS can consist of excellence in:
  • Increasing HMIS coverage
  • Improving data quality
  • Using HMIS data to directly improve service delivery or local planning
  • Effective project management
  • Technological innovations
  • Training services or delivery
  • Other (must specify)
HMIS achievement awards will be presented to organizations that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in HMIS during the past year. Nominees may consist of HMIS lead agencies and/or grantees, CoCs, or local homeless providers. Please include a detailed description of why the organization should be recognized, including any measurable outcomes achieved during the past year that resulted from the nominee's actions. For example, Excellence in HMIS Coverage should include the percentage of providers participating, how that rate has improved over the past year, and the actions that led to the change. Self-nomination is allowed. The HMIS Award selection committee, consisting of HMIS TA providers and HUD staff, will review the nominations and choose the winners. HUD will retain primary decision-making authority over the selection of the awardees. HMIS TA team members may follow up with nominees for more information.

The deadline for nominations is July 2, 2009 at 5pm EST.
